The 10-member squad, captained by Mir Saqib, will represent the country across three age categories: under-14, under-16 and under-18. Three reserve players have also been named.
Team lineup
• Under-14: Azhar Ahmed Allawala, Shakir Ullah, Muhammad Bin Haris, Rayyan Faizan
• Under-16: Mueez Usman, Asher Usman Allawala
• Under-18: Ayaan Saeed, Muhammad Omer Qamar, Mir Saqib (captain), Samer Zaman
• Reserves: Rayyan Ahmedani, Khowja Faiz
The team will first compete in the Asia-Africa qualifying rounds from September 26 to 28. They have been drawn against Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Senegal, Qatar, Japan, Iran and Lebanon. The group winners will secure a place in the final phase, which begins on September 29.
The 2025 edition will be the largest in the tournament’s history, with 36 nations taking part. Matches will be held across three venues in Reus. The event is organised by the International Padel Federation (FIP) in partnership with Premier Padel Spain.
To strengthen preparations, the Pakistan Padel Federation has hired Spanish coach Javier Navas Mendez. He will guide the team during the competition and later visit Pakistan in October for training camps and technical support.
The federation expressed confidence in the young squad, calling on supporters to back the players as they “carry the PPF flag high in Spain.”
