The episode opens in Paris, where Conrad waits outside Belly’s apartment, watching as she and Benito return from a bike ride.
Belly’s short hair surprises Conrad, who explains his visit was a last-minute decision. Belly mentions she has plans at 8, and Conrad offers to wander the city until then.
She decides to give him a mini tour before her evening plans, and he happily agrees. Belly heads upstairs to prep, anxious, applying lipstick and internally scolding herself, “What are you doing?” while focusing on guiding Conrad around the city.
Meanwhile, back home, Jeremiah is staying in Denise’s spare bedroom. He preps dinner while Denise updates him that she’s moving to San Francisco for work.
She reassures him she won’t leave him hanging and mentions that Taylor doesn’t know about Steven’s move yet. Taylor overhears this and is visibly upset. Jeremiah consoles Denise and expresses happiness for her.
In Paris, Belly gives Conrad a tour, observing his stolen glances while she pretends disinterest. Conrad reflects on how he’s imagined Belly’s life in Paris and wishes he could see it through her eyes.
Back home, Taylor informs Jeremiah that the dinner venue has flooded. Taylor’s anger is evident as she vents to Denise about Steven, while Jeremiah urges focus on the immediate problem.
Denise suggests using the Cousins Beach House as an alternative; Jeremiah hesitates due to past trauma from the wedding fiasco but eventually agrees.
Back in Paris, Belly takes Conrad to a rooftop with panoramic views of the city. Initially quiet, she explains the space’s significance in her life, and Conrad compares it to the human body, where everything comes together.
Belly laughs, calling him a “ten-year-old,” and they share a tender moment. She invites him to her pre-birthday celebration that evening.
Conrad recalls how Susannah and Laurel nicknamed Belly “a feral alley cat” for her scrappy determination.
At Cousins Beach, Taylor and Steven have a tense exchange about his move. Jeremiah reconnects with Denise and Adam, leading to heartfelt reconciliations.
In Paris, Belly and Conrad attend her pre-birthday party. Conrad notices pictures of Benito and an infinity necklace he once gave her.
They share close moments, including Conrad putting on a bracelet. Belly introduces Conrad to her friends and Benito, who jokes about Conrad’s legendary status in Paris.
Benito gifts Belly a framed picture of her in bed, which makes Conrad quietly sad. Amid playful teasing, Conrad expresses why he came: he wanted to bring a piece of Cousins Beach to her birthday.
The party continues with laughter, gifts, and playful teasing. Celine offers weed; Belly tries it, and Conrad jokingly scolds her and Conrad finds out that Benito and Bellys are not together.
Conrad gifts Belly sand from the 4th of July at Cousins Beach, symbolizing home, prompting her to kiss his cheek. The cake comes out, and Belly blows out the candles while looking at Conrad.
Later, Belly and Conrad stroll Paris streets. She wears his jacket, and he jokes about calling her Isabel like her friends. They discuss her past feelings of exile and how Conrad’s letter helped her through lonely times.
They then share a dance at a lake, recalling their prom dance and past heartbreaks. Afterwards, back at Belly’s apartment, they continue a private, heartfelt moment, holding each other closely.
They have an intimate conversation about their feelings and the complexities of their love. Conrad asks if Belly truly loves him, and she affirms her feelings, explaining the pressures of their histories and the depth of their bond.
Later, Conrad leaves for Brussels. Belly realizes her love is genuine and rushes to the train to stop him, declaring:
"I choose you of my own free will. If there are infinite worlds, every version of me chooses you in every one of them."
Meanwhile, at Cousins Beach, the family gathers for dinner. The series concludes with Belly and Conrad returning to Cousins Beach, and a book titled “Christmas in Paris” shows snapshots of Conrad celebrating with her.
The episode ends with a note from Jenny Han:
"Maybe we will meet again one summer in Cousins. Until then…"
