A case has been registered against 11 members of a football match organising committee after the electrocution of a young man.
The police launched a hunt for the accused after registering the case.
According to officials, the case was registered at Chak Jhumra police station on the complaint of a cousin of the deceased, Zeeshan Ali.
The complainant stated that the 11 suspects, including Asad, Hussain Syed Pansota, Asim, Ejaz Qasai, Anwar, Ashfaq, Zahoor, Aamir and others had organised a football match in the 195-RB rural area.
During the match, the complainant's 28-year-old cousin Ali Raza, resident of Ghukhuwal, was standing near a floodlight pole when he came into contact with an exposed electric wire that had not been properly insulated.
Ali Raza suffered an electric shock, collapsed and died shortly afterward.
The complainant alleged that his cousin's death had occurred due to the negligence of the tournament organisers.
Chak Jhumra police completed the relevant legal formalities and handed over the body to the heirs.
