In her application, PML-N lawmaker Raheela Khadim accused opposition members of harassing women lawmakers and using inappropriate language during Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's budget speech.
Assembly sources said several other female legislators had also submitted similar complaints against opposition members.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Assembly unanimously passed a resolution to mark the International Day of Democracy, reaffirming its commitment to democratic values, constitutional supremacy, and inclusive governance.
The resolution, moved by treasury lawmakers Ahsan Raza Khan and Zulfiqar Ali Shah, emphasised that democracy goes beyond electoral processes and rests on tolerance, consultation, transparency, and institutional stability.
It underscored that true democracy ensures the inclusion of women, minorities, youth, and marginalised groups in legislative and decision-making processes.
