The Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) organised a fateha khawani to mark the 77th death anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The Fateha and prayer ceremony was held after Friday prayers at Faisal Mosque.
Participants offered prayers for the Quaid-e-Azam and paid glowing tributes to the Father of the Nation, describing him as a towering leader of the subcontinent under whose stewardship the Muslims secured a homeland of their own.
The Khateeb of Faisal Mosque led the prayers and reflected on the achievements of the great leader of the Pakistan Movement. He urged that the nation should always remember Quaid-e-Azam's services for Pakistan in particular, and for the Muslim Ummah in general. He further observed that freedom is a divine blessing fully appreciated only by nations that have struggled for it.
Expressing solidarity with oppressed peoples, the Khateeb drew attention to the plight of Muslims in Gaza, Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), who continue to endure persecution and threats to their lives and property. He prayed that they, too, would one day attain freedom from oppression.
