Twenty One Pilots have released their highly anticipated eighth studio album, Breach, through Atlantic Records. The project has been described as a conclusion to the long-running narrative arc the band began with 2015’s Blurryface.

Alongside the release, the duo unveiled a cinematic music video for the opening track, City Walls, which premiered Friday at 2 p.m. AEST. The 13-track album also includes previously issued singles such as Drum Show and The Contract. The latter reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart, while Drum Show was named BBC Radio 1’s “Hottest Record.” Other songs on the album include Robot Voices, Center Mass, Days Lie Dormant, and Intentions.

Formed in Columbus, Ohio, in 2009, Twenty One Pilots initially featured Tyler Joseph, Chris Salih, and Nick Thomas. By 2011, Joseph was joined by drummer Josh Dun, and the duo later signed with Fueled by Ramen in 2012. Their first major-label release, Vessel (2013), was notable for achieving gold certification for every track by the RIAA.

The breakthrough came with Blurryface (2015), which produced global hits such as Stressed Out and Ride. Subsequent albums—Trench (2018), Scaled and Icy (2021), and Clancy (2024)—expanded the band’s sound while weaving an elaborate narrative that resonated with fans worldwide.

To mark the launch of Breach, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun will embark on The Clancy Tour: Breach 2025. The trek begins September 18 at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, already sold out, and will run across major North American arenas and amphitheaters, closing with two shows at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium.
