A local court on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for City Assistant Commissioner (AC), Maheen Hassan, over her repeated absence from proceedings in a murder case despite being summoned several times.
The order was passed by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka after the AC failed to appear before the court to record her testimony.
Expressing displeasure over her absence, the judge directed the issuance of arrest warrants and wrote to the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad to ensure their implementation. The case, registered at Sumbal Police Station, is currently under trial.
