Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been summoned via video link for cross-examination in the defamation case filed against former prime minister Imran Khan.
A sessions court in Lahore heard the case concerning Shehbaz Sharif's Rs10 billion defamation claim against the PTI founder. The court directed the prime minister to appear for cross-examination through video link on September 12.
The hearing was conducted by an additional sessions judge. However, due to the absence of Imran Khan's lawyer, no progress was made in Monday's proceedings. The court ordered that lawyers from both sides must appear at 10am sharp the next hearing.
