Greg Cipes, longtime voice of Beast Boy in Teen Titans Go!, has claimed he was dismissed from the series shortly after revealing his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis. On social media, Cipes described the decision as feeling like “a death to me” and urged fans to rally behind him with the hashtag #savebeastboy, calling for his reinstatement.

However, an individual close to the situation told TheWrap that Cipes was not removed because of his health condition, but due to concerns about his performance. According to this account, producers approached him about stepping down from Beast Boy but offered to keep him involved by creating a new character for him to voice. They also began discussions with his agent on a potential development deal. Cipes has reportedly already recorded scripts featuring the new character, with negotiations on the deal ongoing.

Cipes had been part of the Teen Titans universe since 2003, voicing Beast Boy in both the original series and across nine seasons of Teen Titans Go!. His credits also include roles in Young Justice, Ben 10, and Ultimate Spider-Man.

The conflicting accounts surrounding Cipes’ exit highlight ongoing tensions in the entertainment industry over how health disclosures intersect with workplace expectations. Whether through a new character or the outcome of his development deal, his future role within the series remains uncertain.

Greta | 2 weeks ago | Reply I was diagnosed with Parkinson s disease four years ago. For over two years I relied on Levodopa and several other medications but unfortunately the symptoms kept getting worse. The tremors became more noticeable and my balance and mobility started to decline quickly. Last year out of desperation and hope I decided to try a herbal treatment program from NaturePath Herbal Clinic. Honestly I was skeptical at first but within a few months of starting the treatment I began to notice real changes. My movements became smoother the tremors subsided and I felt steadier on my feet. Incredibly I also regained much of my energy and confidence. It s been a life-changing experience I feel more like myself again better than I ve felt in years. If you or a loved one is struggling with Parkinson s disease I truly recommend looking into their natural approach.
