Greg Cipes, the long-time voice of Beast Boy in Teen Titans Go, has claimed he was dismissed from the role after sharing his Parkinson’s diagnosis.

The actor, who has voiced the character for more than two decades, took to Instagram to tell fans he had been “literally fired… on Valentine’s Day right after I publicly shared my Parkinson’s diagnosis.”

The news was first shared by DC influencer Emmanuel Devon Newsome, who urged support for Cipes in a post tagging filmmaker James Gunn. Newsome alleged, “Greg told me he has been discriminated against because of his Parkinson’s and they are trying to steal his voice and replace him with a mimic for the new Teen Titans Go season.”

Fans have since begun using the hashtag #SaveBeastBoy to call for his return.

Cipes described the situation as devastating, commenting, “It’s like a death to me that only the fans can bring back to life.” He also claimed fellow original cast members opposed the decision, insisting the show would not be the same without him.

However, a source close to production offered a different explanation. They said Cipes was asked to step down due to performance issues but was offered a new character and a development deal to remain part of the project.

According to this account, Cipes has already recorded lines for the new role, with negotiations ongoing.

Cipes, who first voiced Beast Boy in 2003, has been part of Teen Titans Go for nine seasons. His credits also include roles in Young Justice, Ben 10 and Ultimate Spider-Man.

Eliza | 2 weeks ago | Reply I was diagnosed with Parkinson s disease four years ago. For over two years I relied on prescription medications and therapies but unfortunately the symptoms continued to worsen. My mobility declined tremors increased and I experienced growing fatigue and discomfort that affected my daily life. Last year out of desperation and hope I decided to try an herbal treatment program from NaturePath Herbal Clinic. Honestly I was skeptical at first but within a few months of starting the treatment I began to notice real changes. My energy improved the discomfort eased and I felt stronger and more capable in my daily life. Incredibly I also regained much of my stamina balance and confidence. It s been a life-changing experience I feel more like myself again better than I ve felt in years.
