Capital to get three model graveyards

ISLAMABAD:

To meet the needs of the rapidly growing population of the federal capital, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved the establishment of three new graveyards in Pandorian, Malpur, and Humak.

The decision was taken during a recently held meeting chaired by CDA Chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa at CDA Headquarters. The meeting was attended by CDA Board Members including Syed Nefasat Raza (Engineering), Dr Khalid Hafeez (Planning), and other senior officials. Acting on the directions of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the board finalized plans for developing graveyards at the newly designated sites.

Briefing the meeting, officials said around 800 kanals of land have been allocated in Pandorian, 200 kanals in Malpur, and more than 10 kanals in Humak for the new cemeteries.
