Anna Wintour endorses Chloe Malle as new head of American Vogue in major editorial appointment

Anna Wintour has appointed Chloe Malle as the new head of editorial content for American Vogue, Puck reports. 

Chloe Malle, born in New York City on November 8,1985, is an accomplished journalist and editor with strong connections in fashion and media. She is the daughter of actress Candice Bergen,, and the late French film director Louis Malle.

A graduate of Brown University, Malle first joined Vogue in 2011 as a social editor, quickly making her mark on the publication. She later became a contributing editor and eventually took on the role of editor of Vogue.com, helping to shape the magazine’s digital presence.

Recently, Malle conducted the Lauren Sanchez Vogue cover interview, timed to Sanchez’s wedding to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in Italy.

Beyond her work in Vogue’s main office, Malle has edited a wide range of features including weddings, homes, parties, and travel. She has played a key role in producing the annual Met Gala special issues, as well as contributing to several Vogue books such as Vogue Weddings: Brides, Dresses, Designers and Vogue Living: Country, City, Coast.

Apart from her profession, Malle is married to Graham Albert, the son of Gail McGrath Albert and Alan F. Albert of Williamsburg and is a mother to two children.

Meanwhile, Wintour who has led Vogue since 1988, will continue to oversee the brand’s editorial direction globally.
