Four criminals killed in encounters: CCD

LAHORE:

At least four alleged criminals were killed and one injured in a series of encounters with the Crime Control and Detection (CCD) police in different parts of Lahore.

The first shootout took place near Sanda, where two suspects, identified as Waseem and Riyasat, were gunned down during an exchange of fire. In another incident in Missri Shah, police said a suspect named Rohit Masih was killed in a shootout.

He was reportedly wanted in more than 50 cases of robbery and other crimes. A third encounter occurred in Bata Pur, where CCD police raided Akhara Pul to arrest a suspect named Sabir.
