
Strong tremors of a 5.4 magnitude earthquake were felt in the federal capital, Punjab, and several areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) late on Sunday night but there were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage.
According to Express News, the epicentre was located in Afghanistan. K-P Rescue 1122 spokesman Bilal Ahmad Faizi confirmed that shocks were felt in different districts of the province.
In Punjab, jolts were reported in Rawalpindi, Murree, and adjoining areas, causing widespread panic. Many residents rushed out of their homes reciting prayers. Several parts of K-P also experienced tremors, with people in Peshawar leaving their homes in fear.
