RAWALPINDI:

The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi has begun decorating more than 200 metro bus track pillars between Marrir Chowk and Faizabad as part of its city beautification plan.

So far, about 50 pillars have been completed, featuring artistic "Karachi Scene" paintings. Decorative lighting has also been installed around metro stations, Faizabad, and Allama Iqbal Park, creating a colorful night-time view.

PHA Director General Ahmad Hassan Ranjha said the project is being executed with self-help under the chief minister's vision to beautify Rawalpindi.

Beautification of intersections, parks along Murree Road, and tourist spots in Murree has also been initiated. The DG added that pillars along the 6th Road–Faizabad section have been adorned with decorative lighting, while painting work is expected to be completed soon.
