Streaming star Valkyrae has provided fans with a rare update on fellow content creator Corpse Husband, confirming that he remains away from the internet by choice.
Corpse Husband rose to prominence in 2020 during the height of Among Us streams, gaining a following for his distinctive voice, horror narration videos, and later, collaborations in music alongside artists including Machine Gun Kelly.
Despite his popularity, the creator has been absent from public streaming for the past three years, with only occasional health updates from friends.
Speaking during the finale of a Pokémon Soul Link tournament in August 2025, Valkyrae addressed questions about whether Corpse might return.
“I feel bad for his fans that worry and miss him,” she said. “I definitely miss streaming with him, as well. He’s off the internet because he wants to be off the internet, and I think he’s happy with where he is right now. Just know that we all talk to him off-stream, we game with him. He likes gaming off-stream. It’s his choice at the end of the day. No one is ever gonna force someone to be on stream or do something they’re uncomfortable with. He’s good.”
Corpse Husband has previously spoken about struggling with anxiety when broadcasting solo, explaining that he would be “shaking the whole time” without friends present.
In addition, he has revealed ongoing health challenges, including GERD, fibromyalgia, and thoracic outlet syndrome, conditions that both shape his deep voice and cause physical discomfort when speaking.
While fans remain hopeful for a return, Valkyrae’s update suggests Corpse is content staying offline. Supporters continue to encourage him to prioritise his wellbeing, whether or not he decides to rejoin the streaming world in the future.
