The Peacemaker season 2 premiere has introduced another notable character from Batman’s rogues’ gallery into the DC Universe (DCU), marking the on-screen debut of White Rabbit ahead of Batman himself.
In the opening episode, Christopher Smith, also known as Peacemaker, attends an interview with Maxwell Lord, Guy Gardner, and Hawkgirl of the Justice Gang. Before his meeting begins, he notices a distraught woman leaving the room—revealed to be White Rabbit. The humorous scene explains that she overheard Maxwell Lord mocking her due to a faulty speaker system.
Created by David Finch and Paul Jenkins, White Rabbit first appeared in Batman: The Dark Knight #1 in 2011. In the comics, Jaina Hudson is a lesser-known villain who never posed a significant threat to the Caped Crusader. The series adapts her flamboyant costume faithfully but reimagines her as an aspiring hero.
The role is played by Brey Noelle, known for projects including Replicator, Secrets Between Sisters, and See You Again. Despite her striking introduction, reports confirm that White Rabbit does not appear again in the first half of the season.
This marks the latest Batman-related addition to the DCU, following Clayface and Doctor Phosphorus in Creature Commandos. While DC Studios has yet to debut its new Batman in The Brave and the Bold, director James Gunn hinted that Superman may have already encountered the Dark Knight off-screen.
Season 2 of Peacemaker, starring John Cena, premiered August 21 on HBO, continuing Chris Smith’s misadventures as a misguided vigilante searching for redemption.
