Dakota Johnson sparked headlines after walking off stage during a Q&A at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film Splitsville.

The unscripted moment came after her co-star Nicholas Braun revealed an unexpected detail about a scene that left Johnson visibly stunned.

The exchange, captured in a video now trending on TikTok, showed Braun explaining that he had learned a card trick for the film only on the morning of shooting, with help from co-star Kyle Marvin. “He taught me how to hide a card in my hand,” Braun said, recalling the preparation.

Johnson, wearing a black leather maxi skirt and an oversized blazer, appeared shocked by the revelation. “Nick. I thought — Wait, Kyle taught you this?” she asked in disbelief. When Braun confirmed, Johnson exclaimed, “I hate this f—–g movie,” before standing up, dropping her microphone, and walking off stage as the audience laughed and applauded.

Braun added that the trick was finalised “the night before” filming, insisting he had not practised for weeks. Johnson pressed further, appearing incredulous, before ultimately leaving the stage in mock frustration.

The clip quickly spread across social media, with fans debating whether the walk-off was genuine irritation or a staged comedic moment.

Directed by Michael Angelo Covino, Splitsville is described as an “unromantic comedy” following the fallout of intertwined relationships. The film begins a limited release on August 22 before expanding nationwide on September 5 2025.
