KARACHI:

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), along with the police, arrested two terrorists of the banned Fitna al-Khawarij organisation during an intelligence-based operation in Manghopir. Weapons were also seized from the arrested operatives.

Spokesperson of the CTD confirmed the terrorists’ identities as Abdul Wakil and Ajmal, who belong to Qila Abdullah, Balochistan. Both individuals reportedly received military training from the Maroof camp in Afghanistan, and are close associates of a most wanted terrorist, Sharifullah.

The suspects had been sent to Karachi for an operation and were to be given a target. The arrested individuals are being interrogated, with cases to be registered against them at the CTD police station, Karachi.
