Mobile internet services have been abruptly suspended in Quetta and several other districts of Balochistan, leaving thousands of residents disconnected and deeply frustrated.
The sudden blackout has severely disrupted daily life, particularly impacting students preparing for critical exams, online business operators, and travelers reliant on digital communication. "We cannot prepare for the fast-approaching examinations because of the internet suspension," said Saqiba Ali, a student studying for the MDCAT exam. She urged the government to ensure uninterrupted internet access, calling it essential in today's technology-driven world.
While no official statement has been released regarding the disruption, the suspension aligns with the enforcement of Section 144 across the province. The measure bans the display of weapons, use of vehicles with black-tinted windows, and public gatherings.
Security sources suggest the action follows recent violent attacks targeting security forces in the region. "It has affected our lives in every way. Even basic communication has become impossible," said a local resident.
