Police have registered a case against a sub-inspector and eight other police personnel for allegedly storming the house of a former councillor, harassing women and children, and looting valuables.

The incident took place in Ghokhuwal, and the FIR was lodged following a preliminary departmental inquiry.

According to the complaint filed by Shahid Riaz, a former councillor and general store owner, Sub-Inspector Hasnain along with constables Waqas, Shan Gul, and others forcibly entered his house on March 24 without a warrant.

The officers allegedly violated the sanctity of the home and abused the family.
