Astronomer’s Head of HR, Kristin Cabot, is under fresh scrutiny after comments she made during a 2024 podcast interview resurfaced in light of a viral video showing her embracing the company’s CEO, Andy Byron, at a Coldplay concert.
In the March 2024 episode of the Lead Like a Woman podcast, Cabot spoke at length about her influence within corporate leadership circles, saying, “I build trust quickly with CEOs. They feel safe with me. And then we can elevate their leadership.”
The quote has taken on renewed weight after footage showed Cabot and Byron on the kiss cam in what appeared to be a close embrace.
The clip has since racked up millions of views and sparked widespread speculation particularly because Byron is married.
During the same interview, Cabot shared how senior executives often confide in her.
“The most common feedback I get is, ‘I don’t know how she did it, but I just told her things I’ve never told anyone before,’” she said. “I see and I hear things that other people don’t see or hear. That’s how I win their trust.”
The company has not issued a formal response to the concert footage. However, a widely circulated apology attributed to Byron was confirmed to be fake, originating from a parody account. Since then, Byron’s LinkedIn profile appears to have been taken down.
Neither Byron nor Cabot has commented publicly on the incident.
While no formal accusations have been made, the combination of past remarks and the now-viral footage continues to stir debate across social media.
