An “apology” attributed to Astronomer CEO Andy Byron began circulating online, appearing to address the viral kiss-cam incident directly.
The statement, quoting Coldplay lyrics and expressing apparent remorse, convinced many that Byron had broken his silence.

But the post wasn’t real. Astronomer later confirmed the apology came from a parody account, not Byron himself.
The drama began after Byron was caught on the kiss cam at a Coldplay concert, seen in an apparent embrace with Kristin Cabot, the company’s Head of HR.
The brief clip, which quickly went viral, sparked speculation due to their visible discomfort and the fact that Byron is married.
Neither Byron nor Cabot has commented publicly. However, Byron’s LinkedIn profile has since been taken down, adding to the speculation swirling around the situation.
As social media continues to react to the moment and its aftermath, the now-debunked apology has added to the public confusion surrounding the incident.
