A woman and her daughter were fatally attacked with an axe by her in-laws over their plan for marrying off the daughter outside the caste. The mother, Pakeeza Bibi, died on the spot, while the daughter, Noor Fatima, is critically injured.
Saeed Mughal and his wife Pakeeza Bibi wanted to arrange their daughter's marriage in the same village but in a different caste (Khokhar). However, Saeed's brother, Ali Mughal, and other relatives strongly objected to this decision.
