Jirga endorses IBOs to purge Bajaur of militancy

The security forces will carry out intelligence-based operations to target militant elements precisely, minimizing civilian hardship. Besides, Bajaur will be freed from militancy, paving the way for a new era of prosperity and sustainable development in the region.

It was announced in a high-level jirga convened on Tuesday in Peshawar in light of the recent wave of terrorism in Bajaur.

The gathering brought together senior officials from the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government, police, and security forces, alongside political leadership from Bajaur, tribal elders, and prominent religious scholars.

The jirga was organized in response to a series of deadly terrorist attacks that have shaken Bajaur over the past two months, claiming numerous innocent lives.
