FAISALABAD:

The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has imposed a ban on all leave requests from its operations and technical staff to strengthen urban flood management and drainage services during monsoon season.

Managing Director (MD) WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema said here on Monday that this decision would help ensure uninterrupted water supply and drainage services during heavy rainfall.

He also directed all deputy managing directors to enforce this directive strictly and without exception. He said that special measures are being taken to expedite rainwater drainage and provide immediate relief to the public.
