Man held for torturing labourer

Police on Friday arrested a man for allegedly torturing a labourer in the jurisdiction of Phularwan police station.

According to a press release, issued by the DPO office, Phularwan police took action after receiving reports of a disturbing incident where a labourer named Fahmeed was subjected to physical assault and a video of the torture was shared widely on social media.

Upon receiving the report, District Police Officer immediately directed the SHO of Phularwan police station to register a case and ensure the arrest of those involved.
