Tom Cruise is reportedly seeking to reunite with ex-wife Nicole Kidman and her husband, country singer Keith Urban, to put an end to years of tension and distance between the families, RadarOnline.com reports.
Cruise, 63, is expected to meet Kidman and their two adopted children, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30, in Europe this summer. According to an insider, he also hopes to finally have a candid conversation with Urban, whom Kidman married in 2006 — four years after her split from the Mission: Impossible star. “Tom used to be incredibly dismissive of Keith,” the source said, noting Cruise once viewed him as “a hillbilly crooner.” But over the years, that perspective has shifted.
Urban has reportedly earned Cruise’s respect, with the source saying the singer’s sobriety and consistent support of Kidman and the children softened Cruise’s stance. Bella and Connor’s positive view of Urban also helped, with Cruise now said to be ready to begin a “fresh chapter.”
Cruise’s relationship with actress Ana de Armas has contributed to his change in mindset, the insider added. “Tom’s perspective on life has changed a lot since falling in love again,” they shared. “He’s been reflecting on how he handled things with Nicole and Keith — and he’s ready to let go of old grudges.”
Kidman, for her part, reportedly supports the meeting, hoping it will also bring her closer to Bella and Connor. “If peace with Tom means having more time with her kids, she’ll welcome it,” the source concluded.
This potential reconciliation could mark a major turning point in the high-profile family’s dynamic after years of silence and strained relations.
