Tucker Carlson has reignited controversy surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged client list, claiming it's “obvious” that Attorney General Pam Bondi is “covering up” the true extent of Epstein’s ties to intelligence agencies.
Speaking on his podcast this week, Carlson criticized the Department of Justice’s newly released memo, which concludes that Epstein died by suicide and found no credible evidence of a blackmail operation or incriminating client list. The DOJ’s memo also stated there would be no charges against uncharged third parties.
Despite Bondi previously telling Fox News that the “Epstein client list” was on her desk following a directive from former President Donald Trump, officials later clarified she meant a full set of documents related to Epstein’s crimes—not a literal list of names.
Carlson, however, believes there is more to the story. Dismissing the idea that Trump was involved in Epstein’s activities, Carlson suggested the more likely explanation was that Epstein had ties to U.S. and Israeli intelligence services. “Intel services are at the very center of this story,” Carlson said.
He was joined by co-host Saagar Enjeti, who cited a 2021 BuzzFeed report on CIA officials committing sexual crimes involving children, most of whom were not prosecuted. Enjeti suggested this demonstrated a pattern of protecting individuals in sensitive positions to avoid exposing classified operations.
Carlson concluded by claiming such tactics are often used to suppress political dissidents. “When they want to crush you, they put kiddie porn on your computer,” he said, joking that it’s why he doesn’t own one.
The DOJ has not responded to Carlson’s latest accusations.
