Jennifer Garner, Matthew McConaughey and Khloé Kardashian have spoken out following the recent Texas floods, offering messages of support and calls for help after heavy storms caused one of the deadliest floods in the state’s recent history.
The floods, which struck Central Texas over the July 4 weekend, led to rivers rising rapidly, destroying homes and roads while leaving many residents stranded.
In Kerr County, nearly 15 inches of rain fell within hours, causing the Guadalupe River to rise by over 25 feet in less than an hour. At least 80 people have died, with more than 40 reported missing, as rescue teams continue to operate across affected areas.
On July 6, McConaughey, a Texas native, posted on X: “At least 70 lives have been lost, many more are unaccounted for, and countless Texans are hurting — inside and out.”

Khloé Kardashian also shared her condolences on Instagram Stories, writing, “I can’t stop thinking about the families in Texas and the overwhelming pain they’re going through.” She added, “My heart is so deeply aching for every parent, every family member, and every community.”
Support efforts have included financial aid from organisations, with the NFL, Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans donating $1.5 million combined to assist with immediate needs and longer-term rebuilding.
First responders from across the state continue rescue operations as Texas begins recovery efforts from the devastating floods.
