Kelly Clarkson has announced the sudden postponement of the first two shows of her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, just hours before she was set to take the stage. The singer, known for her powerhouse vocals and emotional live performances, revealed the news in a heartfelt Instagram post, explaining that intense rehearsals had taken a serious toll on her voice.
“We’ve been working 24/7 to make this the most intimate and extraordinary experience,” Clarkson wrote. “But the prep and rehearsals have strained my voice, and I need to rest to avoid doing permanent damage.”
Originally slated to kick off on July 4, Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions was scheduled to run intermittently through November 15 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. However, both the July 4 and 5 shows are now officially postponed. Clarkson reassured fans that the rest of the residency remains on track and promised to return stronger the following weekend.
“I’m devastated, but I want these shows to be perfect for y’all. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start strong,” she added. “Thank you for always showing up for me.”
Fans responded with overwhelming support, flooding the comments with messages wishing her a speedy recovery and applauding her decision to prioritize vocal health.
Despite the rocky start, anticipation for the residency remains high. Clarkson has promised a unique and intimate concert experience, showcasing reimagined versions of her biggest hits and new material in a studio-style setting.
