Lauren Sanchez’s $20 million wedding hits a snag as one of her dresses is reportedly stolen
A mystery has emerged regarding one of Lauren Sanchez’s 27 wedding dresses, following her $20 million wedding to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. According to reports, one of the designer gowns went missing after the ceremony, sparking initial rumors in the Italian press that it had been stolen by an "elegantly dressed party crasher." However, it is now believed that these claims are untrue, and no police reports have been filed regarding the incident.
Details on which of the dresses is missing remain unclear, though it is confirmed that the dress Lauren Sanchez wore to marry Bezos in Venice on San Giorgio Maggiore island is not the one in question. The stunning gown was a lacy white turtleneck Dolce & Gabbana creation, which Sanchez wore during the ceremony. She later shared a photo of herself and Bezos on Instagram shortly after the wedding, where the dress featured floral lace sleeves, a tight bodice, and an elaborate train.
The former journalist previously revealed her excitement for the dress fitting, which took place in Milan, describing it as "more powerful than I thought." Sanchez also recalled how Bezos had begged to see her gown before the ceremony, but she chose to keep it a surprise, adding that she wanted to see his reaction on their wedding day.
In addition to her wedding gown, Sanchez dazzled in a rose pink Atelier Versace gown by Donatella Versace for the final wedding party. The luxurious ballgown was made from silk chiffon, adorned with Swarovski crystals in rose gold, bronze, and gold.
While the missing dress remains a mystery, the wedding itself was a lavish affair attended by numerous celebrities, marking a new chapter for the billionaire couple.
