Three persons were injured in two separate road accidents that occurred on the Srinagar-Kashmir Road near Dhaka, Murree.
In one incident, a mechanical failure led to a crash that injured two people.
In another accident near Riyunty on the same road, a motorcycle slipped due to wet conditions, injuring one person.
Upon receiving reports of the incidents, Rescue 1122 Murree teams, along with emergency ambulances, arrived at the scenes and provided first aid to all three injured individuals on site.
Rescue 1122 Murree has issued an alert to tourists and local residents to exercise caution during monsoon rains, warning that slippery roads increase the risk of accidents.
Drivers were urged to drive carefully to avoid brake failure and to avoid taking shelter inside vehicles during thunderstorms.
Citizens are advised not to dump waste into stormwater drains, which could cause flooding, and to refrain from constructing or living in low-lying or riverbed areas.
Rescue 1122 has also advised against residing in old or dilapidated structures, emphasised the need for proper drainage systems, and warned of electric shock risks due to moisture in metal objects and electrical appliances.
