Pakistan, US push forward tariff talks

ISLAMABAD:

As part of ongoing Pakistan-US discussions on reciprocal tariffs, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held a virtual meeting with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to review and advance the negotiations.

Both sides agreed to continue their negotiations through constructive engagement to finalize the trade deal at the earliest, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.

The discussions centered on meaningful engagement in trade, investment, and the strengthening of economic ties that are mutually beneficial. It was agreed that further technical-level, detailed discussions would be held in the coming days.
