Sarai Alamgir police arrested 13 people for violating a ban on bathing in canals imposed by the Punjab government under Section 144.
An official said the government had banned swimming in canals to prevent possible loss of lives. He urged the public to comply with the ban, adding that legal action will be taken against violators.
