Family dispute turns violent in Pindi
In the jurisdiction of Ratta Amral Police Station, a minor dispute between women escalated into a violent incident, where a man, along with his son-in-law and others, allegedly assaulted his own brother and female relatives. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
According to the police, Liaqat Mehmood Abbasi stated that he was at home with his family when his sister-in-law Rabiya Bibi and a relative, Farhan Ashfaq, visited.
During this time, his elder brother Almas, who lives in the upper portion of the house, came downstairs and began verbally abusing him. Suddenly, Almas's son-in-law Tayyab, his elder brother, and about 15 unidentified individuals entered the house.
Liaqat claimed that Almas ordered the group to attack him. Tayyab and Almas struck Liaqat near his right eye, injuring him. When Farhan intervened to stop the fight, Tayyab allegedly stabbed him. Rabiya Bibi was reportedly stabbed in the right arm and injured.
During the chaos, Liaqat's wife Rukhsana was beaten by Almas and Tayyab and her clothes were torn. The root cause of the incident was said to be a minor quarrel earlier that day between the women of the household.
