The administrative authority of Sindh Textbook Board (STBB) Jamshoro has failed to print new course on time despite the start of the new academic session. Students from 6th to 10th have not been provided new textbooks which is adversely affecting the academic process.
The inquiry against the STBB employees who withdrew hundred of thousands of rupees from the accounts with the forged signature of the chairman, has also been put on hold. Education department remains a silent spectator.
In view of this situation, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah has directed the establishment of book banks in all government schools, after which the process has started to collect old courses, distributed to students during the previous session, and distribute them to new students.
According to a survey, poor quality material was used for printing the textbooks, due to which pages of old textbooks are torn or damaged. On the instructions of the Education Court, the results of the students have been put on hold. However, the results were issued to the students who returned the old course books to the school administration.
