SZA has publicly defended Megan Thee Stallion as backlash mounts over the Tory Lanez shooting case and alleged new evidence.

The SOS singer commented on an Instagram video discussing supposed new findings, criticizing those attacking Megan despite her being legally confirmed a victim.

“I’m actually SO shocked at the amount of ppl fully comfortable bullying a woman that’s proven to be a victim of assault,” SZA wrote. Her post referenced the widespread online harassment Megan continues to face, despite Lanez’s 2022 conviction for the 2020 shooting.

Megan Thee Stallion also addressed the renewed attacks. In a recent TikTok comment, she called Lanez a “demon” and accused his supporters of harassment. “Ain’t no new f---ing evidence,” she said, responding to claims of a confession by her former friend’s bodyguard, Bradley James.

Lanez, who is serving a 10-year prison sentence, was reportedly stabbed by another inmate earlier this month and suffered serious injuries, including collapsed lungs. A rep claimed he remains in recovery but is in good spirits.

Meanwhile, attorney Walter Roberts of Unite the People and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida have called for a review of Lanez’s case. Luna urged California Governor Gavin Newsom to issue a pardon, claiming the conviction was based on “flawed evidence” and “political pressure.” She promised that “compelling evidence” of Lanez’s innocence would be released within 36 hours.

Despite these claims, no verified exonerating evidence has surfaced, and Megan continues to stand firm in her account.
