
Universal Pictures has announced a special one-day re-release of Wicked in North American cinemas on Wednesday, June 4, which will feature the theatrical debut of the first trailer for the sequel, Wicked: For Good. Alongside the announcement, the studio also released the film’s official poster on Instagram and other social media platforms, giving fans a first look at what’s to come.
Screenings will take place at over 100 locations across the United States and Canada, including theatres in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Vancouver, and other major cities. Each screening will occur simultaneously at 3 p.m. PT, 4 p.m. MT, 5 p.m. CT, and 6 p.m. ET to ensure fans in all time zones experience the trailer at the same moment.
Attendees will receive exclusive Wicked: For Good merchandise, including a commemorative film poster, while supplies last. Tickets are now on sale through local theatre listings.
Wicked: For Good, set to release in cinemas on 21 November 2025, concludes the two-part film adaptation of the iconic Broadway musical. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the film stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, with a supporting cast that includes Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Bowen Yang, and Marissa Bode.
The trailer, which previously screened exclusively at CinemaCon 2025, features previews of Act Two musical numbers such as No Good Deed and For Good, as well as first glimpses of Glinda’s wedding and Dorothy on the Yellow Brick Road.
The original Wicked film, released in November 2024, grossed nearly $800 million worldwide and won Academy Awards for costume and production design.
