RAWALPINDI:

Two people were killed for 'honour' and over old enmity respectively in Wah Cantt and Mandrah areas on Sunday, police said.

Zain Ali complained to the Wah Cantt police that his father, Tahir Mehmood, called him and his brother, Usama Tahir, to discuss a matter.

Both brothers reached Badhu village on a motorcycle. Their stepmother, Sana Rafiqat, was also at home. They were all sitting and gossiping in the veranda when there was a knock at the door.

Tahir went to answer it. Soon after, the family members heard some loud voices and arguments. Zain, Usama and Sana rushed to the door and spotted Yasir Mian and his two accomplices standing outside.

The suspect fired six bullets from a pistol and fatally wounded Tahir.

In the second incident, Hanif Yousaf reported to Mandrah police that he was near Ban village when he saw his son Naveed sitting under a tree, having parked his vehicle nearby.

After an exchange of arguments, the suspect opened indiscriminate fire, leaving Naveed with multiple bullet wounds.
