A FaceTime conversation between streamer Adin Ross and rapper Kanye West went viral on May 8, after Ross posed a provocative question about Adolf Hitler. The exchange took place during internet personality Sneako’s Parti livestream, and a 41-second clip of the interaction quickly circulated on social media platform X.

Ross asked West, “Do you think that Hitler would've liked you for being Black?” After a brief pause, West responded that he believed Hitler might have appreciated him for his intellect, comparing himself to a scientist. “I would've been a scientist that America ended up cleaning up... he loves scientists,” West said.
Ross acknowledged West’s creativity and intelligence, calling him a “brilliant” artist, but was clearly unsettled by the comment. West pushed back, questioning why Ross didn’t also call him a scientist.
The conversation followed the debut of West’s new music video HH, which Sneako premiered during the same stream. Ross reacted critically to the song and its visuals, particularly the portrayal of Black individuals chanting “Heil Hitler.” He described it as ironic and said it came across as “mockery.”
“I just don’t really understand that,” Ross remarked during the call, adding that the imagery didn’t align with the historical reality of Hitler’s ideology.
Ross also said he was relieved he had previously declined an invitation to livestream with West, noting that others who did were banned on Twitch that day. The clip added to ongoing backlash over West’s controversial statements and further fueled debate around his new music.
