Kanye West abruptly exited an interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan during a virtual appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored on 6 May. The incident followed a heated exchange between the two, with West removing his earpiece and ending the session mid-discussion.
The conversation took a turn when Morgan referenced the rapper’s social media following. “You have 32 million followers on X,” Morgan said, highlighting the impact West’s online statements could have. West interjected, correcting the figure to 33.3 million and objecting to the tone of the question. “You’re not gonna take inches off my d–k, bro,” he responded before challenging Morgan further.
The discussion was reportedly intended to address West’s recent public conduct and controversial remarks on social media. Morgan stated that he wanted to question West on his use of the platform and repeated violations of X’s content rules, particularly related to his anti-semitic comments about Jewish and praise for Hitler.
After multiple attempts to steer the interview back on topic, West accused Morgan of failing to “take accountability” and ended the exchange with, “This is what you get for now. We can circle back when you can count.” He then left the broadcast, leaving his colleague Sneako to continue the interview. Sneako also exited shortly after, criticising Morgan’s approach.
The full interview was later published on Morgan’s official YouTube channel and social media accounts, where he addressed the walkout.
This marks the second time Morgan and West have clashed in an interview setting, with a prior exchange in 2022 also ending in tension.
The interview took place remotely, with West currently residing in Majorca, Spain.
