Twitch streamer Nick “Lacy” has confirmed his removal from FaZe Clan, following a public announcement by FaZe CEO Ricky “Banks” on social media platform X. During a broadcast on May 6, Lacy addressed the situation, stating that the departure is real and not part of any online stunt.

“This sht in the chat, about FaZe—I will say it’s not a joke, it’s not a troll,” Lacy told his viewers. “It’s some serious sht, but it’s sh*t that’s going to be handled off stream… I’m just going to move on.”

Lacy had initially responded to Banks’ post with a series of question marks but later deleted his reaction. The announcement from Banks read, “Lacy’s kicked from FaZe. Not joking,” and quickly went viral—drawing both scepticism and support from fans.

While both Banks and Lacy have confirmed the departure, FaZe Clan’s official X account has not issued a formal statement. Adding to the confusion, FaZe member FaZe Adapt publicly denied the claims during his own stream, saying, “All that sh*t is cap, bro,” implying the news was false or exaggerated.

The contradictory statements have left fans divided. Some believe the situation is a publicity stunt, while others suspect internal drama. One viewer commented, “It’s all for views and clicks,” while another said Lacy and fellow streamer Marlon “were better off as a duo.”

For now, Lacy maintains that his exit is legitimate and that the matter will be handled privately.
