Police on Saturday started rounding up suspects in Lahore and Muridke in full fledged crackdown operation following the deadly attack on Data Darbar.

Four suicide bombers and their aides had already been arrested a week ago, who according to sources had provided crucial information.

More arrests are likely to be made throughout the Punjab in the coming days.

Lahore’s CIA police raided several areas including Feroz wala, Muridke and Shahdra to arrest suspects.

Sources said lists of wanted people were handed over to the law enforcement agencies.

Meanwhile, the police also revealed that they had earlier misidentified one of the suicide bombers of the Data Darbar attacks.

The bomber had been identified as Muhammad Rafique. The police had earlier said that Rafique blew himself up in the ablution area of the shrine and had even arrested two of his relatives for interrogation, who have been released now.
