Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint announces birth of second daughter

Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome have expanded their family with the arrival of their second child, a daughter named Goldie G. Grint.

The Harry Potter star, 36, announced the news via Instagram on Sunday, April 27, sharing a sweet photo of the newborn dressed in a white onesie embroidered with her name. Grint playfully captioned the post, "'Secret Child Slightly Revealed.' Introducing Goldie G. Grint. A 10/10 baby (so far)." He also gave a shoutout to the doctor who assisted in the delivery, adding, "Shout out to @alex.digesu for always delivering ."

Grint and Groome, 33, who have been together since 2011, are also parents to daughter Wednesday, born in May 2020. The couple has traditionally kept their personal life private, requesting privacy from fans and media during major family milestones.

In previous interviews, Grint has been open about how fatherhood changed his life. In a 2022 conversation with Glamour, he described parenthood as "so much fun" and said it helped him improve his lifestyle, including quitting smoking and sleeping better.

Despite his low-key approach to fame, Grint occasionally shares glimpses of his family life on social media, including bringing daughter Wednesday to the set of his series Servant. Grint continues to express how deeply fatherhood has impacted him, calling it "the best thing" in his life.
