Busted: Drug smuggling bid foiled; bootlegger held

Capital City police arrests an alleged bootlegger and seized 102 bottles of liquor from his possession.

The Custom Intelligence foiled a drug smuggling bid on Friday and seized hashish worth millions of rupees at Rashakai Interchange on Motorway.


The Custom Intelligence, on a tip-off, formed a raiding team led by Deputy Director Arshad Khan. The team set up check posts at all the entry and exit points on Motorway and, during a vehicle’s search at Rashakai Interchange, seized 25 mounds of fine quality hashish.

The authorities also arrested two alleged smugglers Irfan Ali and Zardaab Gul and registered a case against them.

Meanwhile, the Capital City police arrested an alleged bootlegger and seized 102 bottles of liquor from his possession. The police, on a tip-off, formed a raiding team which raided a house in the Shah Qabool area and apprehended Kameen Khan. A case has been registered.
