Security forces eliminated five terrorists belonging to a banned organisation during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan's Duki district, Counter Terrorism Department officials confirmed on Saturday.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted the operation in the Dabbar mountain region after receiving credible intelligence about terrorist presence.
The operation resulted in an intense firefight that left all five terrorists dead.
The bodies of the terrorists were shifted to hospitals for medico-legal formalities.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti lauded the successful operation conducted by the CTD, FC and other security forces, stating: "Our brave forces have once again demonstrated their resolve against the terrorist threat."
He reiterated the government's zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism and its facilitators.
Bugti warned that "terrorist sympathisers and facilitators will face the full force of the law," while reaffirming the administration's commitment to protecting civilian lives and maintaining regional stability.
