Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly seeking a presidential pardon from former President Donald Trump as he faces serious legal charges, including sex trafficking and rape. According to Radar Online, the embattled music mogul is hoping that his longstanding relationship with Trump might offer him a legal lifeline ahead of his upcoming trial, scheduled to begin on May 5.
After several months behind bars, Diddy appeared in court recently, with observers describing him as visibly worn down, “bloated,” and “grey-haired.” With his trial approaching, sources say Diddy is now hoping his longtime relationship with Trump might help him secure a pardon.
Journalist Rob Shuter told Radar Online the two men have known each other for years, often attending the same high-profile events. “Diddy admired Trump’s swagger — the bravado, the flash. He built part of his brand around that energy,” Shuter explained. “Diddy thinks Donald owes him one.”
Their history includes mutual praise over the years, with Trump once referring to Diddy as “a good friend” during an episode of The Apprentice. In the same clip, Trump defended Diddy’s character, saying, “He’s a good guy,” despite hesitation from fellow guest Aubrey O’Day.
While Diddy’s legal team has not commented publicly on the reported pardon attempt, many see the possibility as highly unlikely. Social media users have been skeptical, mocking the idea and pointing to the gravity of the charges he faces.
As Diddy prepares for trial, his future remains uncertain — and it appears he may be turning to an old friend in hopes of a last-minute intervention that could change the course of his legal future.
