Father killed in front of son for resisting robbery in Karachi's DHA

The child present at the scene witnessed the entire incident helplessly.

In yet another street crime incident, a 38-year-old man, identified as Amir Sultan, was shot dead while resisting a robbery in front of his son near Defence Phase 1, close to Tooba Mosque.

The police have fil case under the sections for murder and robbery at the Defence police station, following a complaint by the victim’s brother, Shakir Sultan. The case has been registered against unidentified suspects.

The complainant stated that on the third day of Eid, his brother, Amir, wanted to visit relatives in Hyderabad with his family.

Amir was checking the car’s water levels after coming down from the flat while the complainant stood on the gallery watching.

During this time, three unidentified armed robbers arrived on two motorcycles. Two robbers on one motorcycle circled the area two to three times before stopping near Amir.

The robber sitting at the back of the motorcycle approached Amir, while the other remained on the bike.

According to the complainant, the armed robbers began to loot Amir at gunpoint. Amir resisted, and a scuffle broke out with one of the robbers, who was dressed in a shalwar kameez.

The second robber on the motorcycle fired shots at Amir, snatched his purse and mobile phone, and fled the scene.
