
PM Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday extended Eidul Fitr greetings to the leaders of several Muslim nations, including the Amir of Qatar, the Sultan of Oman and the presidents of Tajikistan and Egypt, through telephonic conversations.
In his call with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the prime minister conveyed his warm Eid greetings and best wishes to the Amir and the people of Qatar.
Sheikh Tamim reciprocated the gesture, extending his best wishes to the people of Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz also spoke with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman, extending his Eid greetings to the Sultan and the Omani people.
He reiterated his invitation for the Sultan to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience. Sultan Haitham warmly reciprocated the Eid wishes and extended his best regards to the people of Pakistan.
Additionally, the prime minister called Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon to extend Eidul Fitr greetings to him and the people of Tajikistan.
He also congratulated President Rahmon on the signing of the Treaty on the Delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik Border and looked forward to participating in the International High-Level Event on Glaciers' Preservation in Dushanbe in May 2025.
The premier also spoke with Egyptian President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi, extending Eid greetings and best wishes for the leadership, government, and people of Egypt.
President El-Sisi warmly reciprocated the gesture, conveying his Eid greetings and best wishes to Pakistan.
